Our Goats

Michael and Whitney started out with meat goats but decided to raise Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats instead (and two MDGA registered Mini Nubians in 2023). Why Nigerian Dwarf Goats? They are a manageable size making it easy for one person or children to work with. They are also more efficient in converting feed to milk and produce the highest butterfat making their milk rich and creamy. Their milk is so sweet and not "goaty flavored" whatsoever. Need more reasons? Check out this article. Whitney also enjoys making fresh cheeses and goat milk soaps and occasionally hosting cheese-making classes. We have been participating in the DHI (Dairy Herd Improvement) program since 2020 and the LA (Linear Appraisal) since 2021.
